Default Poop has gotten smaller

So I'm prolly worried about nothing (as usual lol) but I've noticed the last 2-3 nites my hedgies poops are smaller then they used to be. The color and consistency hasn't changed. I'm in the process of switching his food, the stuff he was getting fed is that hedgehog mix from exotic nutrition, and I'm switching him over to blue buffalo cat food (I don't remember the exact kind n I'm not home at the moment to check) and he's at the point where he's getting half of each food. Could his poop be smaller due to the better food he's eating? I remember when I changed my dog over to a better food his poops were smaller and less frequent, n I was told it was because there's less fillers and his body is absorbing most of the food and nutrients so there's not much 'waste' to pass thru their systems.. Does the same go for hedgies? He's still eating and drinking and being active, no changes other then smaller poops

Yup, I would guess that's the reason for the change. As long as color & consistency haven't changed, I wouldn't worry too much! I'm glad you're switching him to a much better food.

Ok good I do plan on giving him a mix of 2 cat food, most likely just a different protein source from blue buffalo, but I'm doing one at a time like I read he loves the new food tho and always eats that first.. N I've even been picking out most of the freeze dried mealies, but he really enjoys them so ill leave jus a few small ones and then he gets 2-3 live ones as treats when I take him out

On a side note- Ive had so many convos about poop since becoming a mom and a pet mom lol it's so funny what ur Lil ones (human, furry, or spikes) will have u doing lol
