Well, nevermind. I had to open my big mouth and ruin it. There's blood again. I called the vet and left a message as they apparently close a little earlier on Fridays. I should hear back on Monday and we'll go from there.

Why is it that half the time when these little ones have a situation arise its always just before your veterinarian is out of the office. With that said, its been a week, how goes it?

Well, I think the vets office goofed with their messages. I did get a call from them early Monday morning, but they were looking for someone else entirely. And this week has been so hectic I haven't even had a chance to call again.

But, I also haven't been sweating it too much. No more signs of blood in the urine since my last post. It's like she's waiting for me to relax before she does it again. I'm starting to question my eyesight at this point. Did I even see it to begin with? Either way, it's still not the murder scenes I was waking up to every morning prior to the spay, so something is going better. And her urine is no darker than a very pale yellow now.

Unfortunately, next week is going to be worse than this past week. I'll do my best to carve out a few minutes to call the vet, but we'll just have to see. Phone tag is a tough game. I still want to do the urinalysis if for no other reason than to confirm that there's nothing to worry about. But of course next Saturday my husband and I are getting on a plane and will be gone for a week. My mother in law will be watching Ash for us and she's aware of the issues and has instructions to take her in if anything looks wrong. I'm hoping I'll be in a position where I could simply drop off a urine sample before I leave on this trip.
