Exclamation Bloody Behind

My hedgie of 3 years surprised us this week with something we have never seen.

After giving his normal bath time, I noticed some blood around his butt/tail area. I checked all in the cage to see how heavy the bleeding was- nothing. I also checked his pee and poo- all of which where normal with no blood.

So I am guessing he may of spiked his butt? Anyone have any knowledge with this? My hedgie does not do well AT ALL at the vet. The last time he went was due to a infeccted quilling, and he wouldnt eat or relax for like a month after getting home. So to bring him to the vet... I really want to avoid if its a simple issue.

Anyone have any tips or anything i can do? We gave him a oatmeal bath soak last night to try to sooth it and it doesnt look as bloody today. Also checked his poos- no blood. So its not blood coming OUT? It just looks in the area?

thanks hedgie lovers <3

Maybe he just spiked it. Not sure though, just an idea of what could have happened. Get well soon hedgie!

Where exactly is the blood? Is the area red or irritated looking? If possible a picture of the area would help.
