Reading back through the thread, I'm a tiny bit confused. Are you talking about applying oil, or Revolution mite treatment?

If you're talking about oil, I don't know if there's a set recommended amount. Not so much you end up with a greasy hedgehog or fuzz will stick to him & he'll need another bath.

If you're talking about Revolution, yes, 4 drops for a 400g hedgehog every 3 weeks for 3-4 treatments sounds right for mite treatment, but absolutely listen to your vet if they recommend a different dosage schedule.

For dogs & cats they say don't wash immediately before or for 2 hours after application, but to be paranoid about maximum-effectiveness, I didn't give my hedgehog for at least a day in advance (footbath was fine) or 2 days afterwards so any medication that got stuck in his quills had a chance to reach his skin and do its thing.
