Default coconut oil for dry skin?

has anyone ever used a little bit of coconut oil on their hedgehog's skin to treat dryness? i have read about it and a few people have, and nothing seemed to go wrong with it, but i am just wondering if anyone on here has. i am going to give it a try tonight, but i want to hear from a few more people first.

Its not really good to use oil on sink as it can easily not rinse off properly you wouldnt notice and then it can cause fungal infection.

For dry skin the best methods are:

Flaxseed oil (or coconut oil but flaxseed is better) on their food once or twice a week - this helps if you carry on after to prevent it more.

An oat bath is also good, some oats in a netted material or sieve and run under the water to make an oat bath this will help a bit - however be careful not to bath too often cause it will just make the dry skin worse.

Hypocare or leucillin spray help if you do it a few days a week while the are balled up, spraying once a week after that helps to keep from getting bad dry skin again.
