Default Red Wound, PLEASE HELP!

My baby is 1 year old... Today when I was cutting his nails I discovered a large reddish wound on his back that seems like a skin infection. This has never happened before, he has never been sick, so I’m deeply worried. I bathed him with only warm water (no soap) because there seemed to be some ants on the wound (I really have no idea how they got there), but I don’t know what else to do!!!
I live in Colombia so there are no specialized vets that treat hedgehogs, I will try to find one tomorrow, but in the mean time, what can I do? Maybe treat him with Isodine? Will it help?
I would immensely appreciate any advice you guys could provide!!

It almost looks like some quills have been pulled out. I would find a vet that will see him even if it's not a specialized vet.

Thank you! I DID find a specialized vet after all, after calling to almost every veterinary in town… They ran several tests and it resulted to be a bacterial infection (pyoderma).
Now he is medicated, taking antibiotics and on a topical spray, and we're going next week for the follow-up appointment.

I'm glad they were able to figure out what it was. I hope he gets to feeling better soon.
