Default Sores on his face?!

My Hedgie has these little sore like things on his snout. He hasn't really been scratching the area. I will see how it turns out, it started last night, and got a little worse. Should I take him to a vet and does he have mites or something of the sort? Please help.

I think he has mites, he's itching and bleeding how do I treat it PLEASE HELP I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE

PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURE BELOW,

Yes you should take him to the vet. If he keeps scratching like that he could easily scratch an eye. It looks very painful.

My hedgie had something similar on both sides under her eyes by her nose a few months ago. Vet checked and said it was just raw and to put a dab of Neosporin with a q tip and keep her nails short and clean. Cleared up and healed within a few days thankfully. But it looked bad. Mine wasn't really trying to scratch her eyes but it was like we couldn't get the scab to heal before getting scratched off again. The Neosporin+ antibiotic helped tremendously.
