My hedgehog, is around 8 months old. Lately, I've noticed he has very dry ears. So, I started to give him an oatmeal bath everything few days. This helps for the rest of the day or sometimes just a few hours, but then they get dry again. What should I do?
Eddie has that issue too. I'd say maybe tone down the frequency of your baths--that often of a bath might be drying them out more. I've been treating Eddie's ears with a bit of olive oil every day. Coconut oil should work too.
I used Lanolin ( breastfeeding nipple cream) on my guy's ears when I noticed they were dry and it really helped. I read about it on an older post.
