Default HELP! Baby hedgehog has red sores all over her

Hi, I've had my baby hedgehog for about 2 weeks now and recently in the past week I've noticed that she has like red scabs on her back round her quills. She also had been scratching a lot and losing quills so I bathed her in coconut oil like her breeder told me too, then took her to the vets, she gave me stuff to treat mites even though she wasn't sure if she had it.

She's albino and in the past few days her skin has gotten worst and more and more sores and scabs have appeared on her and she's losing more quills but she is a baby so is this from quilling or something else?

Please help!

Time to go back to the vet and have her tested for skin infections. It's definitely not normal for quilling, and it doesn't sound like mites either. For now, don't put any more oil on her as it can actually make skin infections worse.

This sounds like it could be a Staph infection and it will need to be treated with antibiotics. The vet may want to do a skin scraping to be sure. She needs to go back as soon as possible.
