Hey everyone,
Molly's developed a huge bump behind her left ear and it's got a huge open-wound-semi-scab on it that won't heal because she won't stop scratching. I'm desperate, I live in Mexico City and the ONLY good hedgehog vet is away on vacation right now and I can't reach him. Should I clean it with hydrogen peroxide? Put some coconut oil on it so it'll stop itching? HELP, PLEASE!

Personally, I'd go to a vet anyway, even if it's not your regular one. If there's one that still has some experience with small animals, it's better than nothing if you can't reach your regular one. Definitely don't put hydrogen peroxide on it. That's actually really bad for using on wounds - it's very harsh and damages healthy tissue.
