Default wet nose?

So little penelope looks like she has a runny/wet nose this morning. I just wanted to ask if that's a sign I should take her to her vets soon or not. She's been acting normal. She eats a little less but not by much i just think she is mad i'm taking out the food she loves out of her mix because it's so fatty. But anything helps!

Personally I would, but that's due to both paranoia & personal experience. Bindi's had a wetter-than-usual nose twice now & both times it's progressed to sneezing & a decrease in eating within a couple days. Both times I've gone to the vet after just a couple days (around the time I notice the decrease in eating) and we've started her on antibiotics. She's finishing her current round of antibiotics on Thursday and I'm hoping we'll have seen the last of it now.

I would at least recommend calling to make a vet appointment - usually you can only get them for a couple days out. That way you'll have it if the nose stays wet or she shows more symptoms. If you don't think she really needs it by the day of the visit, you can call & cancel.

Alrighty, I'll schedule her a vet visit asap. Hopefully it's nothing but I always overreact because she's just so special to me. Plus she hates the hour drive there and back but she'll have to deal with it. I wish there were more vets around that know about hedgehogs, I think it should be a requirement that they learn about them, seeing how it's becoming a "trend" to have them. People don't understand how to really take care of them. That's why I let everyone of my friends and even strangers know how hard but easy and worth it, it is to have them. They are like little grumpy people.
