Default Frantic running and wheezing/sneezing?

So I'm a bit scared here, but today I was playing with my hedgehog (on my lap) he was as cautious and sneaky as always, curious and very friendly.

Suddenly however I noticed he was being very fast and scurry-ish. I placed him in his cage and noticed he was a bit "hyper" he came storming in his blanket, running to his food bowl , ate some (quite frantically), seemed like he was gonna drink something but made a u-turn and kept on walking rather fast and scratching himself (He needs a bath and I plan on doing it tommorrow, so that's where I think his scratching is coming from)

He then went to his bed and laid there for a bit. I thought the behaviour was weird. However shortly after he woke up and had these little contractions... I don't know if he was sneezing, but I think it sounded a bit more like a wheeze. He has never done that so I'm very worried, I guess it could be a respiratory issue. I know they can't be in a very cold climate cause they can attempt hibernation. I've made sure he has a very warm place to sleep and play though but I guess it could be because of the weather.

Any help would be appreciated.

What is the temperature in his cage? is it the same temperature all over or is it warm in part of the cage and cold in other parts?

Ah. wow, I was so sure I had replied but I didn't haha ^^ I'm so sorry.

But thanks for the help, he's gotten better since, I think a quill was hurting him a bit, but he got better like the day after.

On an off-topic detail: We just bought him a "kritter krawler" pretty much hamster ball. And he's super happy, we are still looking for a decent excercise wheel, and we've been taking him out his cage for walks and more in the meantime.

But he's super happy with the ball, at first he was scared, then he got the hang of it and started adventuring.
