Default Multiple antibiotics and antifungals

I talked to Liam's vet again as the antifungals I was giving him seemed to help at first but now he's gone back downhill and is sneezing more than ever. His vet said the best course of action was to get him back on antibiotics along with the antifungal and start another nebulizing mix. The antibiotics are tribrissen and clavamox (he was on both previously but he says that we've run out of other options so these are the best ones) in conjunction with terbinafine (his current antifungal) and a nebulizing mix. This seems like a lot of medication to be given at once and I just want to make sure it's safe. I also wanted to ask what a good probiotic I could give him as I know all the medication will most likely mess with his gi track.

Has the vet done a culture to see if there's a URI?

They need to get him on the proper medication for his specific problem.

If I remember correctly, Liam's illness has been ongoing for several months, and the vet didn't feel a culture was possible due to the infection being in the lungs.

Yes that is correct, he did however try to get a culture from his nose but was unable to because the tool he was using was small but still way too big to fit into his nose. But I did just get back from the vet and he gave me clavamox and explained that he did think that the antifungal was working (what a relief!) and that the sneezing may just be caused by a secondary bacterial infection thus the clavamox. I'm feeling hopeful and will begin all 3 antibiotics tonight!

OK that's GOOD!

Hoping he is on his way to good health.
