Default Bump in front of Teeth

Sonic has a bump in front of his teeth. He is eating, drinking and all the fine stuff like normal. Before anyone says anything I'm making a vet appointment today for him. What I wanted to know is has anyone dealt with this before and what should I expect? I'm scared!!!

I have attached a picture it's not a great one but it's something.

Just an update: Sonic went into the vet today and she said it was an infection or abscess. He is on 0.5 ml if Baytil twice a day for 10 days. She said that this will help with both situations and she there should be a change within 3 days.

He really enjoyed this vet. He was walking around strutting his stuff. LOL

Sorry you didn't receive an answer but glad you got him in to the vet. I hope Sonic heals up quickly!

Thanks Lilsmommy. Feeding him his medicine has been fun. He now has a pink cheek and forehead LOL but pretty much all of it has went in his mouth for each dose.
She was amazing with him which made me feel better and the lil bugger was even strutting his stuff for her. SMH. Guess the talk I had with him the night before in the bath about getting all clean to see the girl doctor helped. LOL I will keep you posted on how it goes.

Here are a couple of pics of Sonic's current mouth ouchie. The angles suck big time. The one of him taking his medicine like a good boy was on the 11th and the other one was from tonight. He still has to finish his medicine which will be done in a couple days.

He is still in good spirits or I should say hedgie moody spirits. Eating, drinking and pooping as normal. I'm going to call tomorrow and make another appointment with the vet hopefully for Friday. Unfortunately that is the soonest one of us could bring him in.

I feel horrible and just wish it would go away.

I know you've been treating him for an abscess and it hasn't cleared up. It's possible he has a blocked salivary gland. People can even get stones that block the glands. Glad to hear you'll be seeing the vet again though.

I just wanted to send you this little diagram to show you what I mean. You can see that his swelling is in the sublingual salivary area.

I was just wondering how Sonic is doing and what the vet found. I hope all is well.

She gave him new meds that is for dental issues and for pain. Next step is putting him under and than we are looking at dental work. She wants to get the inflammation down.
