Default Mouth Sores

Rose has sores around the edge of her mouth almost like she was chewing on the bars of a cage which she can't get to. I found no blood this morning and only noticed while taking pictures today. She has a toilet paper tube, three food and water dishes, a wheel, her hidey spot, and a terracotta pot. I tried looking in her mouth but she wasn't happy but what I could see, her teeth looked fine.

Terracotta pot maybe? Her mouth looks like what my mouth feel like after eating over large corn chips... It's the harsh of the edges of the chips that hurts me, looks like she got something of her own with an edge.

I have no input, sorry.

But I'm curious, did this issue come up over night? Or could it of happened over a couple nights of chewing on bars or something?

I didn't notice it yesterday during bonding or the day before. She can't get to the bars on her cage so I wonder what she has been chewing on.

I separated her and River permanently last night so I wonder if she was bored not having her buddy around.

Hmm? You know I'm not an expert, but maybe she got bored and got a hold of something. I remember they flew in together when you got them. Was last night the first night they have been apart?

Yeah, they flew in together and have caged together since, almost five weeks now. I tried separating them before but Rose climb the barrier I put up to be with River. But recently River has been losing more weight than I would like even with me syringe feeding her every meal so I thought it best to separate them for her health.
