Default bleeding from mouth

hi, i posted a thread few days ago about my hedgehog making weird loud sounds after eating. then it stopped for few days but last night i heard it again so i turned the light on and checked him. i noticed after few minutes that a little bit of blood is in his mouth and also got on the bedding, then, i picked him up and tried to reverse him as i thought it could be something stuck in his mouth what was causing the bleeding. nothing came out but after a while a piece of food came out of his mouth, it was actually bigger than one piece of his food he has in his food dish. that made me think he could have a broken tooth or something and the food gets stuck in it (but when he's making that sounds it looks like he's trying to get something out so hard,he almost went on two legs..), what do you think? because he still eats his food normally, no change..so i'm kinda confused

I would take him into the vet to have his mouth looked at, just in case. Mouth problems are common and can get worse quickly, and it's usually hard for owners to get a thorough look in there. Do you crush his kibble up? It might be a good idea to start doing that, since it sounds like he's having trouble eating it. It might be getting stuck in the roof of his mouth or something.

i just got home from the vet, he wasn't able to check his mouth as my hedgehog was super angry and kept refusing staying still. yet the vet told me it is fine and that it happens to animals..and no i never crushed up his kibble, thanks for advice, i'll definitely start doing that and see if it helps him

Try grinding up his food (not into powder, just smaller bits), like Lilysmommy suggested. Keep an eye out for decreased appetite, change in behavior, swelling, etc., which could be a sign of infection, and keep trying to get a look in this mouth. Try putting some baby food on a popsicle stick to see if he'll chomp on it and you can get a look at his teeth then.
