Default Hard sore in mouth swollen

Hey hedgie fam. Chuck, who will be 5 this summer has a large bump in her mouth. She is still eating and drinking regularly and playing. She let me touch the bump (after opening her mouth with the back of tweezers) and it feels hard. Has anyone experienced this? Could it be cancer? I know she is getting up there in age, should I be preparing to say goodbye to her?

Would really love any advice! I’m looking into vets in the renton, Washington area (if you have a rec I’d love to hear)

Update: chuck got a tooth pulled and it was an abscess in her mouth. She is also getting a biopsy sent to the lab to see if there is additional cancerous tissue. For right now she is on pain meds and antibiotics
