Default small little bump on underside of chin

hey guys,
so princess peach is my first hedgy, about two days ago one of her teeth fell out, i figured it was because i switched up her food over to cat food and it was too hard. so i put some water with it, and she loves it. yesterday i noticed a small bump on the underside of her chin. it looks like a little "pimple" or like a mole. really not that big. unfortunately i live in sacramento and there aren't any vets will to look at her. what should i do? is this something to be concerned about?

Hmmmm not sure what that would be... I would normally recommend going to the vet, but because there isn't any where you are I guess there isn't much you can do. Watch it over the next few days and it seems to be getting worse you may need to drive a few hours to find a vet. It may be a little infection or bug bite as well. Just keep an eye on it and try not to worry to much.

With the combination of the tooth falling out and the bump I would get her checked out as soon as possible. Oral tumours and abcesses are very common in hedgehogs and just get worse if not treated. I know you said you live in California, where they are illegal to own, so you might need to make a trip out of state to see a vet. If you can't do this then there are rescue groups that rescue in California and rehome out of state. They would make sure your hedgehog saw a vet. This is a perfect example of why people shouldn't own pets that are illegal where they live. Not being able to take it to the vet when needed isn't fair to the animal.

I completely agree. It is important that she sees a vet as soon as possible.

I really don't want to scare you, but my previous hedgehog developed a very similar "pimple-like" bump on his chin two Novembers ago. It ended up being a sarcoma (cancerous) and it had to be removed. I'm not trying to say that this is what's going on with your girl, but if it is the same thing they grow and spread fast.
