Mass in mouth post surgery
My baby is Jolie and she is approximately 6 years of age. I took her to the vet last week because she was developing a knot on the side of her face. The vet determined that she had an abscessed tooth. They did surgery to remove two of her teeth and discovered a mass on the roof of her mouth as well.
The vet told me not to bring her in unless she gets significantly worse, but she isn't getting better. The swelling went down some, but she is still very swollen (It has been about a week). I've been giving her her antibiotics and steroid medicine twice a day as instructed which she takes fairly well.
I've been feeding her Chicken Soup Cat food, and meal worms because she can't seem to chew her regular hard hedgehog food. She hasn't been drinking much and when she does she can't seem to keep her balance while drinking (I've been giving her water in a syringe now when I give her her medicine). I also think that the mass has made her lose vision in her right eye. Please give me advice in any way you can. Her poop is also ultra smelly now which I'm sure is from her change in food.
She is still super friendly (if not friendlier) and has not seemed sluggish or disheartened at all. She's still getting around well, but isn't getting on her wheel as much anymore. I've attached a photo that the vet took after the surgery (a week ago), and a picture I took yesterday.
