Make sure she's warm first. If she is, you can let her go back to sleep. The heating pad can help for now, but won't be a good long-term solution. Do you have a thermometer in her cage to know what the exact temperature is? And do you have any other heating set up for her? If not, you need to have both. Her cage should stay around 75* (unless that's not warm enough for her) and should stay steady. CHE set ups are usually the best option for this since most people don't want their room to stay at 75*.

It could have also been light-related if you left your light on. Although I had more issues with hibernation attempts from not enough light than too much light, but it still could have thrown her off. Make sure lights get turned off every night, you can use a timer if you need to.

Hibernation attempts are scary, especially the first time it happens! Even once I kind of got used to them with Lily, I was still always a bit nervous until she started to warm up.

Sounds like a CHE set up would be a good idea. With the heater turned up for now, I'm sure she'll be okay until you're able to get one. You did everything right, if that helps!

She had tumors over most of her liver. We didn't know that before I had her euthanized, but she'd been going downhill for a while, and her bloodwork was abnormal. On our last visit, the vet said that she had a mass in her abdomen that hadn't been there 10 days before, on our previous visit. That wasn't a good sign at all, and I didn't want to take her home & risk having her suffer more, and I didn't want to lose her during surgery, so we let her go then. The vet checked afterward & discovered it wouldn't have been fixable anyway.
