Exclamation is she about to die on me!?

Hibernation or dehydration .
Something isn't right and hasn't been right for a bit. She's greyish compared to normal.
Shes cold, you can feel the cold coming off of her. And she is sleepy. She won't eat or drink, although she licks the bottle occasionally. Shes quite rigid. I have her on a water bottle and she was shivering for a bit but now she's just laying as if she's sleeping.
She ate a lot of food yesterday but I put that down to not eating a lot the day before.

I'm a new hedgie mom, but from what I've read, that sounds like a hibernation attempt to me. Here's a thread on hibernation and what to do if your hedgie attempts it:

https://www.hedgehogcentral.com/forum...bernation.html

She just needs to be warmed up slowly (the water bottle is good), with your own body heat, wrapping her in a blanket, putting her near or close to the heat source you usually use, etc. If still seems lethargic after that, I would take her to the vet. Good luck!

It definitely sounds like hibernation to me! Warm her up immediately! Put her on you stomach and use your body heat to warm her slowly! Or a heat pad on low! DON'T PUT HER IN WARM WATER. This will cause shock and could also cause another chill afterwards. I hope everything turns out ok.

If anyone with more experience like Kalandra or Nancy come on please listen to them over me!

Water bottles cool off quickly. Use a heating pad or your own body heat. Seriously, she needs to go to the vet ASAP. I'm not going to stop saying that - you need to find a way to get her to the vet, or yes, you're likely to lose her.

Warm her up and start calling vets now. Her life is depending on you getting her the care she needs. Don't let her down.

This is not hibernation. She is sick and needs to see a vet immediately.

Honestly thought I had lost her she was unresponsive to my touch for a while. After managing to get her to fight back and tell me off, I managed to wake her up. She is gaining colour and shes starting to eat. I think it was a hibernation attempt. Thank you all. I will keep you updated. I am in England it is midnight, I doubt any vet will see her at the moment.

Start calling vets in the morning then. She needs to go in tomorrow to figure out what's going on with her. This specific event may have been a hibernation attempt, but you need to find the underlying cause. Get her to the vet.

This is not a hibernation attempt. There are two threads about this girl so I'm closing this one so it's not as confusing.
