Question Hibernation question

I caught Tuesday trying to go into her hibernation yesterday. I immediately got her warmed back up. I went and got the CHE like recommended on this site to keep her warm.

I've read she's at a greater chance of trying to hibernate again. Will that happen if I keep her cage at the correct temperature now?

It hopefully shouldn't, but there's no guarantee, so keep a close eye on her anyway. Make sure there's no drafts, the temperature stays steady, and she's also getting enough light (12-14 hours). Hopefully she'll be good to go with the CHE now.

(Psst. Did you also get a thermostat to control the CHE so it's not always blasting all the time?)

The pet store didn't have a thermostat so I ordered one online on amazon. It should be here by tomorrow or Tuesday.

Good! It's an often-forgotten but essential aspect of a heating setup.

I don't have experience with this, but I understand that after a hibernation attempt, it may be necessary to bump the temperature up a few degrees to prevent a reoccurrence.

You're fixing temperature; do you also have regular lighting? 12-14 hours light, 10-12 hours dark. You can turn lights on and off manually, or if you're afraid you'll forget, put some lights on a timer. Timers are super-cheap in post-Christmas sales, and sold anywhere that might conceivably have trees or lights.

Tuesday's cage is in the living room with us. We leave the lights on all day now that she's here and then turn them off when we go to bed.
