Default CoolER, but not cool belly

My hedgehog is approximately 6 months old. His activity level is dead-on normal: eating, pooping, running, cuddling. Zero signs of lethargy. Identical wake-up times to his established pattern for months.

His tummy temperature was consistently always downright-warm for months. Recently, it's gotten cooler, but not cool. Specifically, his belly is effectively identical to my body temperature when I pick him up. This is true irrelevant to where he was sleeping (on bare, cold plastic pipe, in warm snuggly pigloo, linerdiving on canvas).

This is the same hedgehog that had a brief period (1 week) of running only a few hundred meters a night instead of his typical kilometers. The inactivity was linked to a local heatwave; ambient temperatures have dropped less than 5F between then & his cage-temp. His belly was not cool during this time period.

This is also the same hedgehog I asked about controlling dark (not just light) timing. Over the past two months, he's reduced from 16 hours daylight to 12 (which is the new-constant).

Thoughts? Should I be concerned about a cooler-but-not-cool belly, when paired with no other symptoms of distress?
