Question My Hedgehog Dislikes Temperatures Above 20C (68degreesF)

Hi guys! I've had my hedgehog for 2 months now, and ever since the beginning, she disliked temperatures above 20 degrees c, which is about 68 degrees f.

Therefore, I had to keep her lamp off during the day, unless it went under 19.5 degrees c.

The person I bought the hedgehog from kept her at 22 degrees c.

BTW, MY HEDGEHOG IS NOT HIBERNATING: I play with her all the time, she is NEVER sleepy, clumsy, etc.

If I turn on my ceramic heat emitter 60 watts and set it to 21 degrees c, she will sleep in the corner, being nearly squished by the wheel. She will not sleep in her igloo or sleeping bag, instead she tries avoiding the heat as much as she can.

YES, I AM FULLY AWARE HEDGEHOGS SHOULD BE KEPT IN TEMPERATURES ABOVE 22.5 C.

If I keep her at 20c, she is the most active hedgehog ever! So far, she showed no signs of hibernatino attempts, etc.

OF COURSE, I TURN ON HER CERAMIC HEAT EMITTER AT NIGHT.
I set it to 22C then. I think she's fine at night, but not during the day.

Can someone make a prediction about why this event is occuring?

Your hedgehog should be sleeping during the day. How are you determining that she doesn't like being at an appropriate temperature? If it's because she's not active during the day, it's because she's nocturnal and should not be active, she should be sleeping.

You need to maintain a constant, steady temperature for her. You run a lot of risk by not doing so. Just because she hasn't had problems yet doesn't mean she won't and she could become very temperature sensitive.
