Exclamation How to tell if a headgehog has hiberated or died

A couple hours ago I have found my headgehog barely moving and his belly was cold. I tried warming him up and for a little while he seemed to have started moving a bit more. However after a couple minutes of what seemed like improvement he stopped moving altogether. He's not rolled into a ball, doesn't seemed to be breathing and there doesn't seemed to be any signs of life. Is there any chance that he just has fallen into hibernation?

It does sound like he passed... Try warming him up to be sure. You should notice breathing even if he would be hibernating. They do not "fall" into hibernation, if he's not reacting at all, I am afraid he has died.
