Unhappy Help! New hedgehog acting wierd!

I took my hedgehog home a week ago. He is still acting wierd and hiding! he eats when I'm not around and poops too. Help!!!!

That's what they do. Especially during the day. Hedgehogs are nocturnal. That means they come out at night and sleep during the day. They are also shy animals. There is nothing weird about it.

Go to the behavior section of the forum and read the sticky on behavior expectations. That will give you a lot of great information.

You can take him out daily and throw a tshirt in the cage to get him used to you, but it can take months or years before he stops being skittish. That's just how hedgehogs are

oh ok he is six months and i havent seen him shed his quills yet is that bad
