Default purple hedgehg

Hi, so the last few days cookie a female 1 1/2 year old hedgehog has been not eating as much or drinking. I have given her fresh water everyday and she is either not drinking it or drinking very very little. She is also not eating at all or very little. She has been up during the day running on her wheel and running around her cage. Today I went to clean her cage for the second time in a few days and some of the quills on her head are purple. I was wondering whats wrong or why shes like this. Her cage temperature is 76 F.

No. I haven't seen her eating anything purple. I don't think she has even been around anything purple in the last few days. Nothing in her cage is purple. She did have a strawberry though but I don't think that would make her purple. My parents may have given her a blueberry last night but they have never made her purple before even if see falls asleep on top of them.

If she decided to annoint with it, that could be the cause of the color. I can't think of any other cause that would give her purple quills.

I'm more concerned about the eating and drinking. She hasn't been eating at all on her own? For how long? She needs to go to the vet to find out what's going on, and if she's not eating at all on her own, she needs to be syringe-fed, starting today. You can use baby food, canned cat food, or crush up her dry food & mix with water.

oK it would be 3-4 days now. The purple is starting to fade. I can't tell if she ate last night because her food spilled all over her cage. Also her curled up under the water bowl sothat spilled an I cant tell if she drank anything.

You need to be counting, weighing, or measuring her food every night, particularly when you're unsure if she's eating much. Make sure you do it tonight, and make sure you have everything you need for syringe-feeding. If she's not eaten by the time you're up in the morning, syringe-feed her before you go anywhere for the day. Get as much into her as you can, and if you have to go to school, syringe-feed her again as soon as you get home. If she doesn't eat at all or much tonight, you'll also want to call the vet in the morning and get an appointment scheduled for as soon as you can to find out what's going on that causing her not to eat.

Have you been seeing any poop or pee in her cage? That'd give you a clue as to whether anything's going in.
