Default Hedgehog has a bald spot

Today I just got a hedgehog. It is a wild hedgehog captured by someone who was trying to sell it. I decided to buy it and try to keep it as a pet, since there arent many wild areas where i can drop it, and why not try it since you dont get the chance to pet a hedgehog everyday.

(I dont know his gender but im just calling it "him")

However, while trying to find him a spot for the night I noticed he has a bald spot, and im not sure whether that is from the hedgehog being damaged or fighting with something else, or a disease. It looks something like this: http://www.boxerforums.com/attachmen...t-dsc_0382.jpg
and this: http://www.mihog.org/anatomy/quill1.jpg
But its not on his head, it is actually near his back. And another odd thing is that he has a quite noticeable tail (like 1-2 inches), and this is the first time i knew hedgehogs had a tail.
I actually managed to take some photos. Here is what i could capture for today: https://imgur.com/a/NupVv

I don’t know if it’s even legal to take a wild caught animal and keep it as a pet...I don’t want to be mean but it feels really wrong to me...maybe you could find some sort of wildlife rescue to bring him to....that hedgie needs vet care and if it’s illegal to own him you won’t be able to give that to him....the hedgehogs we have on this forum are DOMESTiCATED African pigmy hedgehogs....also that bald spot is not normal...that hedgehog needs a vet

Actually thanks for your response, I checked it with the link below:
http://www.exoticnutrition.com/hedgehog-legality.aspx
And doesnt seem it is illegal in my country (Albania) to own a pet hedgehog.
about vet care, you will be lucky to find a cat/dog vet where I live, let alone a hedgehog vet.

I think that it’s saying it’s legal to own domesticated hedgehogs....taking an animal from the wild is a different issue...but idk one of the other members on here will know more ....it just doesn’t seem right to me to take an animal from the wild

Thanks for your replies and your help.
I couldnt find a vet for him so I ended up releasing him (and yes, it was a him). I'm pretty sure there is no penalty for keeping a hedgehog as a pet (wild animal as you say), however there was a penalty for some other kind of animals.
I think that was a wound from long ago, cant say for sure from when, but can say that he was active and would eat without any indication that he was hurt.
Thanks once again.
