Question I most likely have mites.

So now that I know that much, I plan on getting him to vet and everyone.

But this thread is me asking what all should I do. Should I get rid of the wood houses? Will it effect me? Will it effect cats, dogs, etc. What are some precautions I should take? Do I need to do anything specific to the cage like fleece, food, water, wheel, his "bed"?

You will nneed d to get rid of anything wooden that's in his cage and wash anything made of fabric in hot water. Everything else need to be washed in hot water as well. If you have a dishwasher put anything ceramic or plastic through a sanitize cycle in the dishwasher.

Mites are species specific so they aren't going to bother you or any other animals.

Okay. I finally found a date for the vets. Till then, I'm going to be using this treatment and see how well it'll go:

However, I'm going to be cleaning the cage every night and everything. I already removed the wooden items. What's left is the fleece, the sleeping bags, and the wheel with the tray underneath including obvious food and water.

1) Now Nikki, Every night am I going to have to be putting the fleece and stuff in the washer?
2) Instead of washing them every night (I also have a step mom who uses it often.. who ironically is named Nikki), am I able to just give him a clean towel or blanket with as shirt every night so I can wash everything at once?
3) If I need to clean the entire cage, How will I be able to do that? Put in the tub and like.. give it a shower?
I also don't have a dishwasher at the moment. Actually, I don't even have a kitchen at the moment.
