Default Need medical help for hedgehog!

About 2 months ago our little boy started losing quills. We took him to the vet and they started him on revolution for mites. We treated him then about 3 weeks later he was still losing tons of quills and so we took him back to the vet. She said it looked like he had developed a bit of a skin infection. She treated him with the antibiotic for fourteen days. His skin looks a lot better but he is still losing tons of quills a day. He got his second dose of revolution one week ago and still no improvement. He is very bald and we are more concerned. He does have quills growing back but the regrowth isn't keeping up with how much he is losing. We also had him tested for ring worm and that was negative. He doesn't have any coughing or sneezing. He still runs and eats and drinks just fine. We wake up to so many quills though from him being out running. Just not sure if anyone knows what else it could be or what to do. Our vet at this point really has no clue cuz we have tested and treated just about everything! HELPPP!

Poe had the same thing kind of. he stared quilling and then it kept getting worse. I made the mistake of giving him oatmeal baths too often and he developed a bacterial infection. but not before being treated for mites, 2 doses of revolution, 1 dose of ivermectin and a round of baytril and we're doing well. it took a few weeks for him to get his quills back but he's no longer bald. he kept losing them for a bit during and right after the baytril. do you know what antibiotic you had?
