I accidentaly cut two of my hedgies nails too short about a month ago and she did just fine with her wheel. I just made sure to check for poopy feet the next couple mornings.

Check the nail before going to bed tonight. If they bleeding has stopped, the wheel should be fine. Make sure to clean the nail in the morning to get all the poo and pee off for a few days till the nail closes to avoid an infection. It should close in a few hours if it was just a nick.
