Default Changing to fleece

So I decided to go to fleece bedding, which should be arriving today. Right now I've been using aspen and carefresh. I have couple questions...

Taco just turned 4 months old, should I be worried about any stress this might cause him?

What do people use to spot clean if their Hedgie made a tiny mess on the fleece? I see some people use water/vinegar but wouldn't the smell bother the Hedgie? Or should I just replace with a clean piece of fleece?

Liner diving. I've seen a lot of threads here about Hedgies liner diving. I have some 3M double sided tape. Should I use that or just let Taco be if he does it too?

I got laundry detergent, softener, dryer sheets. All say no perfumes and dyes. Is there anything else I may have forgotten?

Sounds like you have everything ready.
I don't think changing to fleece is going to be stressful, it may just give him something new and interesting to check out.
I put paper towels under the wheel and litter box, that's usually where all the little messes are, you can just discard the paper towel. You can also put small sections of fleece under the wheel or any place where he usually poops. Then you can change the small piece of fleece.
I also have smaller pieces of fleece to make "placemats" under her food and water dishes, she always has crumbs of food by her food bowl.
These smaller pieces can be removed and changed or just shaken out, like a rug to get the crumbs off and then you can put them back in the cage.
Make sure you shake off the fleece before washing, it gets any poop, litter, food and quills off of it. I always do Nara's laundry as a separate load, but have never a mess in the washing machine.
Hope Taco likes his new setup.

Cleaning his cage right now. When I do the fleece strips, about how long should I make the pieces?

I LOVE that fleece pattern!!! If I had a boy hedgie that's what I would pick haha. So cute

And my fleece strips are like 4 or 5 inches long and 1 inches wide

I love fleece..... So much easier, not to mention cheaper! And looks cute. My rats won't let me use fleece, they tear it up. Even their hammocks don't last longer than a week.

I have my fleece wrapped around a sheet of coroplast and use binder clips to hold it in place on the coroplast. So far Hamish hasn't had any interest in liner diving! I spot clean the fleece for poops every morning, and replace the paper towel under his wheel twice a day. Other than that i just change the fleece every 5-6 days, unless it feels wet and then every 4-5 days.

My strips vary from an inch to two inches across by 4-6 inches long. I also have two square "blankets" - one in his pigloo and one in his pvc tunnel. Of course, stuff gets moved around that first night!

What do you guys use to clean the fleece? Any fragrancy-free detergent or water is usually enough. I'm worried detergent is bad to them...
