Never, ever, EVER say this to a Canadian who has been trapped inside for a week cuz of the 6 inches of blowing snow and biting wind dropping the temperature to -42 with the windchill...especially after mid-February. Canada: eight months of Winter and three months of bad sledding.

We cplain about it but we're a hardy bunch - no REAL Canadian lets cold, miserable weather stop them from doing something. I mean, how could we? We'd never do anything.

I will say that one of the best things about growing up in the south is how magical I find snow to be. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, if just one teensy tiny snowflake appears, I'm like a kid in a candy store. OMGGGGGG SNOOWWWWWW!!!!! It's pretty great.

I am from Southern CA and the farthest north I will move is Southern VA. In my house snow is a four letter word that looks like this: *#&*.

Now I have to go wash out my mouth with soap.

We had snow flurries in January. It last about 10 minutes. Nothing stuck to the ground. I live in northern Florida. I only own one sweater. I own 5 pairs of flip-flops and no boots. My kids, ages 16 and 10, have NEVER seen actual snow, the flurries made them squeal and dance around the front yard. In T-shirts.

I did live in Iceland as a child and have had the "pleasure" of blizzards and 6 foot snow drifts. I'll stay in Florida now, thanks

SOme snow is nice. I like to see the seasons change. But 8 months of winter...that I can do without. Though I do not like the NC summers, I dont mind the winter and spring and fall are gorgeous here.

My duaghter was born here and absolutely loves it when it snows. Or when we go back to visit family at Christmas.
