Question Fleece as cage bedding, paper towel as bedding under wheel ??

Hello !

My hedgehog rolls all night and also poops and pees in his wheel like other fellas. I would like to know if putting paper towel under the wheel
(like this one : https://www.google.ca/search?q=paper...2F%3B400%3B381 )
in a little plastic container would be right for my hedgie.

Thanks again for your answers !

Yup, that would work great! A lot of people do that to catch the "run off" from the wheel. Sometimes if you're lucky, hedgie catches on that that's the potty spot & will go there instead of elsewhere in the cage, but that just depends.

My hedgehog never does it out of his wheel so that's why I was considering it. I was putting bedding in the plastic container instead but it was doing sooo much crap out on the fleece (little particles and stuff) so I wanted to try something else. Thanks ! I will try it ^^

I collect runoff with a rectangular container that's intended for drawer organization and fill it with yesterday's news. Since it's so skinny, it doesn't stick out from the wheel but for a couple of centimeters, but still is able to catch drainage. He then has a seperate litter box for all other pottying outside the wheel.
