Default Do hedgies chew holes in fleece?

I've been looking at all the fleece-lined cages and fleece accessories on this forum and would like to know if hedgies chew them.

We have had pet rats and have seen lots of beautiful fleece accessories in rat cage photos, however, when we had our rats, we quickly discovered how hole-riddled all things fleece became.

Just wanted to know if this was the case with hedgies too. Do they chew up anything fleece?

No, hedgehogs aren't rodents and have different teeth than rodents. Rats, mice, hamsters and etc have constantly growing incisors which need to be trimmed down, and that's why they chew so much. Rodents also have very sharp incisors. Hedgehogs don't have those.

Hedgehogs aren't generally chewers, and usually aren't even biters; unless they're very interested in a smell. If they're interested in a smell, then they'll chew it briefly and anoint to it. They like to play and dig, and they can party hard, but they don't really destroy items.

My new hedgie tried to chew on his fleece once. He probably noticed it wasn't going anywhere after a few chews and just ignored it afterwards.
