Snuggle Bags?

Hello everyone!
im interested in making a snuggle sack for Teddy Bear, Last night i made one but it was really and I mean REALLY bad :( I would like to make another does anyone have any advice? I would be hand sewing today, but tomorrow I will have access to a sewing machine and tons of fabric (because jo anns is having 50% off all fleece (!!) ) So im going to hand sew one today and sewing one one the machine tomorrow. So if anyone one knows a good method to making snuggle bags can you please share? :P

Thanks in advance!

Well, I can't sew. I just use some old t-shirts (and one hoodie) that I've now forfeited for the little monster. I can either wrap him up nice and snug, or leave it fairly loose so he can crawl around, dig at the fabric, and build himself a little pillow however he likes.

you could try making one of the no-sew ones! Dexter loves his :)
Just look in the "accessories" threads and find the no-sew instructions!
Go to the "revised" one, it has pictures

 Actually I've made my first one last night! I also made another right before I checked to see if I got any replies ;) Thanks!! Do you leave it in his cage? Because their head can get caught in the tie-knot-thingy :o

For the safety of the hedgehog I wouldn't use the no-sew pouches without supervision. They are curious and creative little critters and I would hate for someone's hedgie to get their head or foot stuck in the draw string. I would use the pouch as more of a bonding bag when you are with your little one and then use a snuggle sack inside the cage. :)

i agree with the above, the no sews are great, i have made 3 and love them but only for supervised time.
I made hedgie sacks without sewing though that are safe to keep in the cage, all i did was take a rectangular shape of fleece, fold in half, the two sides perpendicular to the fold get little cuts like little fringes or strips then you tie the two sides together and tada.. totally safe hedgie bag with no strings/sewing.

Oh my gosh! That sounds so cute!! Even though its supposed to be like that for safety it seems like the hedgehog blankets that kamokrunchkustoms makes with the fringes :D

Dont worry :D I don't keep it in his cage because panda posted on the thread that has instructions on how to make it that they could get stuck :?

Yeah little Norma thought she would try getting tangled in her no sew baggie  but luckily it was right as i was watching her do it.
And actually yes, the fringes look cute anyhow IMO, While i do love the finished look of the sewn bags that people sell it is just simply more economical for me to make them myself and there's plenty of pros to making them with the fringes instead, no loose strings, easy, cheap & cute! Once i finish with my fabric I'll be posting pictures in Norma's thread of what I made, maybe I'll make another thread too under the accessories section to explain how i made everything cause that seems to be a common question.
