We just bought a wheel 2 weeks ago and just bought another one yesterday (good sale. The reason we got the 1st one because his old one was bent. The new one from 2 weeks ago sounds like nsils on a chalk board soon as you turn it the sounds start. The newest 1 squicks but npt thst bad. Is there any way to make it stop? Olive oil? Pam spray? Anything really. Don't want to buy another one.

Could you take it apart and get rid of any rust/excrement/buildup, if it's used? I take it apart and oil it all?

Ya those wheels are really loud. Olive oil is a temporary fix but I would recommend a bucket wheel. They're silent and so easy to clean.

Honestly, I would see if you can return it, if you want to. Comfort Wheels /are/ loud, and they're also more difficult to clean, and they're more fragile (like you've found). A good bucket or cake wheel (either made yourself, or bought from someone, a lot of breeders sell them) will last so much longer than a Comfort Wheel, they're quiet, and easy to clean. If you make sure the wheel's all cleaned up, the store may let you return it if you still have the receipt & complain about the noise, etc. If you check the For Sale section of the forum, there's several people listed in the Wheels section.
If you'd rather not though, I agree with a dab of oil or vaseline to see if it helps the squeak. If there's any rattling as well (that was the problem I had with mine - the bucket part rattled against the disk in back), you can use a cloth hair scrunchie wrapped between them to silence that.
