Default Litter box under wheel - what to use inside? Help

I'm putting a wheel in Axel's cage today, and I made a makeshift litter box out of a cereal box. We don't have any newspapers, and I kind of want to reuse the box.
What can I put in it? Napkins, papertowels, magazine pages?
I don't have much felt at the moment, so all I have is bathtowels - which I'm afraid he'll pull strings out of.
Help!

*Edit* I don't have any aspen, or bedding in general to put in it; nor do I want to use it.

You can line it with papertowels.

We use Kleenex but I second paper towel. We actually use carefresh bedding under the Kleenex to soak up the urine. I would suggest getting a plastic or metal pan as the cardboard will get wet really quickly. I just went to the dollar store and picked up a cheap small baking pan for my CSW.

They don't seem to, some will drag the papertowels around but the wheel usually helps hold it down. I use fleece liners in my litter pans because I don't having to buy papertowels all the time.

Would a cut trashbag work underneath the papertowels? Or will the hedgehog get hurt by that?
I have only old pans and they're leaking all kinds of grease and whatnot that I can't get off. I'm worried about that, so I'll have to wait on getting a cheap one from the dollarstore or something.
I also have a piece of a cut top of a Sterillite bin...would that work for in the cereal box?

*Edit* Though...the piece is pretty small and doesn't cover the entire bottom of the box

I use papertowels also, they work good for me. Trash bag would be dangerous. You could double the papertowel up but the cardboard would get messed up quickly. You can sew fabric peepads too if you like

Yeah, I suspected the trashbags would hurt him. I kept them out and just doubled up the papertowels.
I'll also try to use an old shirt to line it.
