I have a Carolina Storm Bucket Wheel and and finding it hard to keep the bearings from getting wet and rusty from washing the wheel so frequently, despite my best effort to keep them dry.
I'm thinking of trying a set of full ceramic bearings to replace the steel ones to see if they withstand the moisture better. Has anyone else done this and if so, how did it work out for you? |

I've not switched the bearings, but I do wash the wheel daily without getting the bearings wet. I angle it in the sink as in photo. Then I dump that water in the toilet and then wipe the wheel out. Maybe this method could help in the meantime.

I wash my wheel daily too; but i dont soak it. I place it in the bath, spray it with a cleaning solution, and then use boiling hot water & a sponge to give it a good scrub down. The bearings dont get wet this way, but its still super easy to clean.
