Is 3.8 inches wide enough for a hedgehog? Or should I get the next size up?

A hedgehog wheel should be about 12 inches in diameter.

3.8” is too small. Those wheels are more marketed to smaller animals, like hamsters. A hedgehog needs a 5-6” track, so get the next size up.

No worries, & thank you! - she's the best. and it's a combination of mealworm chomping and a fast shutter speed

She holds it for a couple seconds after too; I have a clip of her on instagram doing it - she's a weirdo all right, but that's why we love her haha.

Whoops I misinterpreted the question. Yeah, I think Christina’s track is about 5” wide so that sounds good.
