Default Question about Wheels.

Hello, I'm new here and just got a one and half year old hedgehog from a guy the was going away to police academy. First thing I noticed was he didn't have a wheel and it didn't seem like he has had one for a long time if ever. So I decided to make him a bucket wheel yesterday using a cake topper. I got it made and it looks great and doesn't make a peep. He went to town on it last night, but my concern is he seems to slip on the surface. I don't want him to get hurt, but cant seem to find any information about adding traction to it. All the pictures I've been looking at on here seem to have no form of traction on their wheels.

I was just curious as to whether it is ok that he slips, or what I should do about it.

Thanks!

Congrats on your hedgie! He will get use to it, you can tilt it inward some to help prevent him from falling out.

Thanks Larry!

Also I have it attached to the cage is there an easy way to make it tilt upwards?

Sorry when attached to the cage it can't be tilted easily, not sure how you would do it.
