Needles is my first hedgehog. And I love him dearly. Lately, I've noticed that he's been scratching a lot and I thought it must be mites. At the same time, I noticed that his belly, feet and ears got super crusty and flaking off a lot! I bought him to a vet and the doctors told me that it wasn't a mite problem. It was some sort of parasite infection. When she was about to give Needles an injection, I asked her what is inside the syringe. She told me it was Ivermectin! I got so worried, because I've read so many posts about hedgehog deaths after using Ivermectin. I requested for Revolution, she said it will be ineffective because it's not a mites problem. Luckily he's okay now, still scratching though.

My question now is, should I bring Needles back to the vet for his second vacc?
The vet told me to bring him back here after 2 weeks. (Ivermectin again!)
What should I do?? D: Please help!
