I am a new hedgie owner and I started using care fresh as the bedding. I hated it because it got everywhere. So I switched to Kaytee Soft Granule bedding. It says it contains wood dust, which I think most beddings have some kind of dust, but will this hurt my hedgie? I love this bedding but I don't want to cause any health issues for my hedgie.

Putting in my opinion, though it might not be worth much because I'm getting my hedgie next week, I wouldn't trust this bedding.
I looked up the product, and it doesn't really give you a specific type of wood they use to make the bedding, which is a big red flag. Also, the pieces kind of look too small, and might be able to be caught in a hedgie's privates and cause problems. I've read that could happen with some beddings. Again, you might want to wait for someone else's opinion, but that's just my two cents. |
