I don't know anything about endometritis but if it is caused by infection, I think a spay is still the way to go.
When done by an experienced vet spaying a hedgehog is considered no more of a risk than spaying a cat or dog. Laser surgery is preferable as it is a shorter surgery, less blood loss, and a faster heal time. She will also need pain meds for a few days afterward and have her wheel taken away.
