First, turn up the heat in the house so she stays warm. Go through the whole house (she may have gotten downstairs) systematically, room by room. Search thoroughly, including in between dresser drawers, laundry piles, and under furniture even if you think she wouldn't be able to fit (they can get ANYwhere), and listen carefully for little noises while you're looking. Close the doors to each room once you're done.

In each room, set out some food (preferably something with a stronger smell, like canned crickets, or chicken baby food) and water and a blanket she can burrow in and turn the lights off. I really hope you find her!

When Minnie has gotten out, I have found her by using stinky cat food in a very, very quiet room.

I have now searched the entire house and she still hasn't turned up. I have put food and water in every room and will try to catch her eating or something at night.

How warm is your house? There is a chance that if its colder than her cage she could be trying to hibernate. If so you need to bump the heat up a lot so that she warms out and becomes active.

Its about 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Is that too cold?

It could be if she went into a dark spot that doesn't get much heat..I would turn the heat up.
Nancy and Lilysmommy like this.

Great news! We have narrowed it down to one room of the house. There was a small pile of food in every room and in one room the pile is gone! We are going to turn the lights off and wait for noises and hopefully catch her.
