Default New hedgie family!

Hello everyone! My name is Amberle, I recently purchased my first hedgehog after visiting her several times at the pet store and falling in love with her. Remy is a super cuddly loving little girl who loves to go everywhere with me. The day after Christmas we were surprised with four hoglets! I have spent plenty of time on the forum researching what to do to provide a good living space for Remy and her little ones. One of the babies didn't make it, but the rest are thriving and extremely active.

After doing a lot of research on this forum I still have a few questions. The first is how soon can I bathe Remy? I know I need to wait at least two weeks before handling any of them, but she's very dirty after having the babies and I see her itching a lot. I would like to get her a bath as soon as it's safe.

Also, when the babies are old enough I would like to make sure I get them to homes who will love them the way I would. I know for certain four hedgies would be a little much for me to handle. Any advice on how to find proper homes for the babies?

Any advice on how to keep the family happy would be greatly appreciated! I adore all of them and want to keep them healthy and safe!

Oh, wow. Well done managing emergency babies! I'm going to leave this for a breeder to handle as I don't have this type of experience, but I wanted to offer you welcome to the forum, and link you to this great care book if you haven't seen it yet.

Thank you all! Momma and babies are all doing well! It looks like there are two boys and one girl! I'm loving this experience, hopefully it continues to go well!

I'm going to try to sell them, the little girl is already spoken for. If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting one of the boys let me know! They're two weeks old now.
