Default Nats in mamas cage?

Ok, so last night and this morning I seen quite a few nats or maybe fruit flys (I don't know)in Nikki's room but mostly in cage.i think they are in the bedding. It's been almost 2 weeks and the cage is started to be pretty gross. In a couple days I'll start taking handfuls of the Nasty stuff out and replacing it with new bedding.

In the mean time, Is there anything I can do to help the situation??

I figured the answers NO and I have to ride it out but I wanted to ask just incase someone can enlighten me or have a tip.
My house is only 5 years old, so it's sealed up well and I've never had bugs. But they found thier way into and around her cage some how

I think there is a mixture of liquid dish detergent that you can put in a bowl in the room that is supposed to attract the fruit flies and then they get stuck in the liquid. Maybe try googling that?

I think your right I didn't think of that, that's why I asked. I'll google it now. Maybe I can put something on the floor in her room as long as it's something like soap that won't smell strong.
Thanks again!

Ok, I made 2 Gnat traps (didn't know gnat started with a G) with vinegar and soap in a bottle and set them right inside her room. It will hopefully trap them.I'll move them little closer to the cage when I feed her tonight. I always wipe her cage with vinegar/water so it will be fine..

Thanks Melanie! Great idea. Hopefully it works.

I'm glad you found it. I knew it was soap, but I couldn't remember what was added to it. I hope it works!

Surprisingly the gnat traps i made are working, I haven't seen any in Nikki's cage and there is a bunch of dead ones in the bottles I'm glad because I have few more weeks until a full cage clean.

Sunday the babies will be two weeks old but I'll probably be peeking tonight or tomorrow if I can catch mom out of the nest and I'll update on the babies, I'm pretty nervous to look lol! It's been a loooong wait!!
