Unhappy Attempting to breed

Before you ask, yes I've done my research and understand the risks involved in breeding and have come to the decision that it is still something I would like to try.

I put my two hedgies, Guy & Astraia, together starting this past Saturday, May 4, 2013 to breed. So far from what I've seen (I haven't watched constantly), Guy hasn't been doing the "normal" courtship singing etc. Tonight I have a camera on them because I had been hearing an odd huffing noise. I'm still not sure who is making it, but Astraia is running fast circles around Guy, who doesn't seem to be doing anything. Have you seen this sort of behavior before? I know it's possible that they are doing the actual mating when I'm asleep, but I haven't seen them do it at all. I've seen Guy sniff at Astraia a little, but nothing like what I believed I would see from my research. I would appreciate any advice you may have to help me have a successful breeding.

Do you have pedigrees on both hogs?

Do you have permission from the two people you got them from to breed?

I have not bred the hedgehogs that I have had, but I have taken my hedgie to a sitter who is a rescuer. The first time I took her over there she had 3 males in the room with Daisy. Only one of them "sang" to her. Oddly, the one that sang was not the one she seemed interested in. All of the hogs were in their own cages and when they were taken out for "play time" they were in run around balls so no contact was allowed.
Apparently the one boy was really singing love songs to her..
What I am getting at though, is that sometimes they just don't "like" each other and I don't think you can force a female hog to mate if she does not like the boy. It is physically impossible or so I have been told. She has to accept him, if not, well, then too bad I guess for him.
My suggestion would be to separate them at this point and wait to see if she got pregnant or not. The huffing and the running circles around him sound like she may be trying to attack him.

Yes, the breeder I got both of them from (no they are not related in any way) gave me permission to breed them.

She doesn't look like she's going to attack, the way she's acting is like she's trying to get him to be interested. Kind of "showing off" for him instead of the other way around.
