Default Handling hedgehog babies

Hello! My hedgehog had babies 2 1/2 weeks ago and I know it is time to start handling them and getting them used to humans. It is a little difficult because I know you are not suppose to disturb the mother and her babies because it will stress her out. She doesn’t like mealworms or that sort of stuff so I can’t find a way to lure her out so I can spend time with the babies. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do?

Thank you!!

You may need to wait until she comes out in the late evening. She has to come out sometime to eat and drink and then you can slowly start handling them. As the babies get older the mom will start spending more time away from the babies.
