Rescue Likely Pregnant- Nutrition
I recently rescued a pair of hedgehogs- Bonnie and Clyde! First thing I did was separate them! I have had them for about 3 weeks now and Bonnie is nesting. I know I need to remove her wheel and get her nesting box- I will be doing that first thing tomorrow (it's about 4 am- I've been researching lots!)

I've had hegies before and have a diet pretty much ironed out. Live insects are not possible at the moment! I am feeding a mix of Purina One and Hill's Science, along with baby food, mostly in attempts to get Bonnie fattened up. She is very skinny! Is there anything special she will need if she is pregnant/nursing?

I have heard outdoor cat food is good for pregnant hedgies because it has more nutritional value in it. While your hedgie is going through pregnancy she goes through a lot of her energy and nutrition so it is good to have more protein, etc. 🙂
